Spy Cameras for Home Security

Have you ever thought of using security cameras for securing your property?  Camera systems can be setup to send you messages when they detect motion.  They do this by analyzing the pixels that are detected by the camera.

When there is a change in the pixels that are detected from one point to the other, then motion has been detected. That being said, there are a wide variety of configurations that you can set cameras up in.  You can buy whole security systems that have cameras all connected in with them. However, that can be a bit of overkill if you are just getting started with security systems. Plus, most of the system that you buy have certain cameras that they come with.  They are generally all the same.  You have to consider other options if you want to achieve other security goals.

For instance, do you want to have cameras that are small? If so, then you are looking for a “Spy Camera” instead of a security camera. Spy cameras are generally very small. They usually are the size of a penny around or maybe slightly bigger. That opens up your options as to where you can place your camera. Do you want to hide the camera in the house in a room? Do you want to hide the camera somewhere in a bush outside of your house on the door.

If you go to a wireless option, then you can have more places to put your camera. The one drawback to that though is that wireless systems take a lot of electricity. They will drain batteries fast. Amazon sells a 1.2 Ghz Wireless Surveillance System by JMC but most of the reviews on it say that it drains the batteries fast. That’s not an acceptable solution.

What you need is a system where you can have a wireless transmitter that has a plug in outlet option. You can do this with certain 9 volt system if you rewire them correctly but you need to know the correct voltage and size the power supply. So it’s better not to work with those options, you should just purchase a wireless transmitter that has a power cord attached to it.
